Anticipated 2014 opening includes convenience store

KEARNEY — Hy-Vee plans to build a supermarket, fuel station and convenience store on 12 acres at the northwest corner of Second Avenue and 52nd Street.
Ruth Comer, Hy-Vee’s assistant vice president for media relations, said Thursday afternoon that the plans are in the initial stages. She said the store will not open before 2014, and no target opening date has been set.
