Kearney followers stunned by Pope Benedict’s decision

KEARNEY — Catholics in Kearney said they are shocked and stunned by today’s resignation announcement from Pope Benedict XVI.

“I’m just amazed. It seems like he is still on top of everything, on top of his game,” said Jim Dubas, who was having coffee with other Knights of Columbus members at Pane Bello and talking about Lenten fish fries and bingo fundraisers.
