KEARNEY — Jackson Dean Wallace, 9, of Kearney died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Faith United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Perry officiating. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour before services Friday, all at the church.
O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home of Kearney is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 3, 2004, in Kearney to Jeremy and Dana (Dierwechter) Wallace.
Survivors include his mother, Dana Marzolf of Kearney; father, Jeremy Wallace of Rapid City, S.D.; brothers, Bronson Wallace and Carson Wallace; sisters, Jenna Marzolf and Mercedes Wallace; grandparents, Valerie and Richard Bond of Cambridge, Dane and Jeanie Dierwechter of Morgantown, Pa., Ed and Sharon Marzolf of Gibbon and Deb and Mike Wortman of Wichita, Kan.; great-grandparents, Marvin and Ruth Bartling of Lodgepole and Ruth Dierwechter of Lebanon, Pa.; uncles, Brandon Dierwechter and David Bond, both of Lincoln, and Alex Bond of San Diego.
He was a third-grader at Emerson Elementary School. Jackson enjoyed racing BMX, the Denver Broncos, music, playing Xbox, Cub Scouts and being outdoors. Jackson loved playing any and all sports, especially hockey and soccer. He was fascinated with the Winter Olympics and watched every chance he had. Jackson was a loyal friend and truly enjoyed the friendships he made.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
