Where: At Ron at Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field, Kearney
Kickoff: 6 p.m.
History and purpose: The three Nebraska Shrine temples, Sesostris (Lincoln), Tangier (Omaha) and Tehama (Hastings) joined forces to create the Shrine Bowl of Nebraska, Inc. in May 1958. The mission is to recognize the best senior football players in the sate, as well as its coaches, while raising funds and awareness for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is an international hospital system throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. All 22 facilities are dedicated to providing specialized research and free treatment to children under the age of 18.

KEARNEY — The Shrine Bowl is coming to Kearney.
After hearing bids from Lincoln and Kearney, the Shrine Bowl selected the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Ron and Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field as the home of the annual all-star football game for the next two years.
