Matt and Mason McManus of Kearney cruise past The Archway museum on their way to join other fishing enthusiasts farther east during a free fishing event on a nearly perfect Tuesday night.

State Trooper Bruce Okamoto of Troop B based in Norfolk helps Leo Hinrichs, 3, catch a play fish Tuesday during free fishing night at The Archway and Nebraska Firefighters Museum ponds. Each plastic fish had a picture of a real type of fish. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission provided tackle and certified fishing instructors. Leo’s parents are Curtis and Tayler Hinrichs of Kearney.
