Work continued Friday on the first of four multi-purpose discovery stations on the south side of the Platte River at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary, southwest of Gibbon. Three will replace old sandhill crane-viewing blinds and the fourth will be at a new site farther west of the Iain Nicolson Audubon Center. The one blind east of the center will be the first one completed, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for Sept. 21.
