KEARNEY — The community is invited to an inclusive worship service at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 2304 Second Ave.
The service is adapted to meet the needs of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and to share the message of God’s love and grace. Their friends, families and the public also are invited.
The joyful, inspiring service will include music; brief, concrete and meaningful messages; and opportunities to participate, serve and lead. The “no shushing policy” gives attendees the freedom to worship in an accepting, loving environment, according to a news release. Through Rejoicing Spirits, congregations become aware, educated and accepting of those with differences, allowing all worshipers to truly be united in Christ.
The Rejoicing Spirits worship service is held at 3 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month. The church is wheelchair accessible.
