KEARNEY — The community is invited to an inclusive worship service adapted to meet the needs of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

First Lutheran Church at 3315 Ave. G is hosting the monthly Rejoicing Spirits worship service at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Rejoicing Spirits encourages people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to become part of a welcoming faith community, according to the Rev. John Gosswein, Rejoicing Spirits ministry coordinator. To better serve this population, the Rejoicing Spirits inclusive worship service captures the attention and interest of these individuals along with their families, friends and the local supportive community.

The Rejoicing Spirits worship service takes place at 3 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month. For more information, contact Gosswein at pr.john.foc@gmail.com or call the church office at 308-236-7704.
