LINCOLN — This year, RMH Franchise, which operates Applebee’s restaurants, including Kearney’s Applebee’s at 5605 Second Ave., partnered with Anheuser-Busch ahead of Veterans Day to offer patrons an opportunity to buy a Bud Light for military members to enjoy along with their complimentary meal on Veterans Day.
RMH later donated $50,000 to Folds of Honor to help provide scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
“Buy a Vet a Bud Light” Campaign launched in all RMH Franchise Applebee’s on Oct. 8 and concluded on Nov. 10. The next day, Veterans Day, the previously purchased Bud Lights were served to veterans and active-duty military, age 21 and older.
“Our team members, many from the military themselves, rallied behind this initiative. All the proceeds from the unclaimed Bud Lights on Veterans Day, along with a contribution from RMH, are being donated to Folds of Honor,” said Mike Muldoon, president and CEO, RMH Franchise.
